Vintage Lens Comparison-Bokeh

Posted on December 9, 2020 at 2:05 PM

This is a lens comparison between two awesome old lenses that are very similar in age and focal length. Both are just over 50 years old, the Takumar is a few years older than the Sears lens. Both lenses were shot at there widest apeture and both images are shot with the same camera, same exact settings, and same exact processing settings (very little post processing).

Personally, I actually like the bokeh and saturation of the Sears lens the best....

Camera:

Pentax K1 Full Frame 36mp Sensor

Lenses:

1st: Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 [8 Element Version]

2nd: Auto-Sears 55mm f/1.4 [Re-Branded Rikenon Version]
